The first week in Clarkson was full of surprise and seminars. The surprise which we wish that all future participants will have is that this particular group had the greatest groupmates that anyone can hope for.

However, the daily meetings, seminars and workshops did not come as a surprise to any of us. Anyhow, as much as some would disagree with this, all of them had their use. The web design workshop taught us how to create a webpage. We watched a documentary about the cultural revolution in China and to some that did not know much of the recent Chinese history the true events depicted by the film came as a shock  as well as an eye-opener.

                            Spare Time

The town of Potsdam does not have much in terms of shopping, movie theaters or museums to offer to people used to large urban areas. Yet, the cleanliness and manners of the people on the street, as well as the nearness of the Adirondack park gives anyone the chance to slow down and relax.

If your comment is "Well, this does not tell me anything!"  then these are our suggestions:

You might want to go have a cup of coffee at the Field's Coffee shop  found on the corner of   Market  and Main Streets.

You could take advantage of the recreation center of  Clarkson University. Anyhow, remember  to bring swimming gear.

Or, after all, you might just want to pace back and forth, and believe this, no one can tell you differently!

Whatever  you decide to do, we wish you a Happy Summer!
