History of Women and Gender in America:
Interviewing Local Women Pathbreakers

In Spring 2011, five students in Professor Laura Ettinger’s course, History of Women and Gender in America, at Clarkson University, did a service learning project for the American Association of University Women – St. Lawrence County Branch. They conducted and edited video interviews with local women pathbreakers, and they created discussion guides for secondary school teachers to accompany the interviews. The interview subjects and the student interviewers signed release forms to allow the interviews to be placed on the web.
