Kathryn Briggs Johnson

Kathryn Briggs Johnson is currently Clarkson’s Vice President for Student Affairs and International Relations, a position she has held since 2004. She began her career at Clarkson in 1973 as a Development Assistant for the Clarkson Fund. From 1975 to 1996, she was Executive Director of the Career Development Center. In 1997 and 1998, Johnson was Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. From 1998 to 2004, she was Executive Director of the Career Center and International Study.

In this interview clip, Johnson discusses women students’ worries about how employers would view them, quotas, and how women were treated during job interviews. She also explains that many women felt that Clarkson’s male-dominated environment prepared them well for the male-dominated work world.
