After graduation, she worked as civil engineer for the Linde Division of Union Carbide in Tonawanda, NY, a suburb of Buffalo. Annoni resigned in 1988 after the birth of her oldest child to become a stay-at-home Mom, and her family moved to the New York City area, eventually settling in Maplewood, NJ where she still lives today. Since 2000, she has been the assistant township engineer for the Township of Millburn, NJ. Annoni is a licensed professional engineer in three states: New York, Indiana, and New Jersey, and she is a Certified Floodplain Manager in New Jersey. She is married to a fellow civil engineer, John Annoni, and they have three children, Ariana, Rebecca, and Samuel.

In this interview clip, Annoni discusses her return to work after 11 years at home with her children and finding an engineering job that she loves. She also discusses appreciating the job’s flexibility which allowed her to attend her children’s events, while also mentioning the fact that she misses the travel she did while working for Union Carbide. Annoni’s interview included her classmates Monique Charbonneau Staples and Valerie Barlow Jerabeck.
