During the 1960’s he performed with Jackie McLean, Lou Donaldson, and his brother, Stanley.

Most biographical entries for Tommy Turrentine note that ill-health led to his retirement in the 60’s. This concert, however, was recorded during the 1973 Five Boroughs New York Musicians Jazz Festival. Tommy died in 1997.

Gilly Coggins performed and recorded with Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Jackie McLean, Art Blakey, and Thad Jones. He died in 2004.

Ronnie Boykins performed with a variety of artists, most notably for Sun Ra and for Roland Kirk in the 1960’s. He died in 1980.
