While we have identified Joe Rigby on sax, Chris Capers on trumpet, and Steve Reid (wearing the African yellow and brown striped shirt) Andrei Strobert on the second drumset, and Alex Blake as the bassist..
Steve Reid played with many others during his continuing career. He recorded with Miles Davis, Frank Lowe, Arthur Blythe, and Charles Tyler. In recent years he has toured and recorded with Kieran Hebden.
Joe Rigby played with Milford Graves, Ted Daniel, and Ahmed Abdullah. He appears on Steve Reid’s 1976 album, Nova, and on several albums by blues guitarist Johnny Copeland.
Chris Capers played for Sun Ra and appears on albums of Albert Ayler and Steve Reid.
While we have not yet found the audio recording of the concert, Juma does believe it will be found in his collection.
