In this project, we developed a computer model to simulate the behavior of sediment plumes resulting from deep-sea mining. In addition to the behavior of sediment plume, the model simulates environmental effects in the water column and benthic layer. It can simulate both upward discharges from the sea bottom as well as discharges from the water column or water surface. More details are available under Computer Models. Click here to go.
