    Aikido Wellness and Injury Prevention

    Musubi Aikido of Potsdam

As a physical therapist who has spent decades teaching people how to protect their bodies and prevent injuries, I've thought a lot about how to stay healthy while training. This page shares some resources I have developed. These handouts have not yet been reviewed by the ASU WWG.

These handouts are not medical advice. Always consult with your healthcare provider to diagnose injuries and identify a treatment program appropriate for you. None of the activities or exercises described in these handouts should increase pain; if they do, stop doing them and see a health care provider for personalized guidance.

Common issues that can lead to discomfort or injury in Aikido.

Common issues that create problems as we age while training Aikido.
