Brownian Motions

Java Applet for Brownian Motion

The following calculation model evaluates the trajectories of 200 sample particles after they are injected along the centerline between two horizontal parallel plates.

Instructions

Enter a number for particle diameter in the given text field (in meters), then click "start" to compute and plot 200 particle trajectories.

Discussion

Describe the dependence of the ensemble of particle trajectories on the diameter.
Obviously, this is a simplified system. What modeling assumptions were made here?
